Pre ordered fish,chips and curry sauce x2 for my parents .It was ready when I arrived to pick up .Parents both enjoyed their meals

I ordered on line, thinking it would be quicker. WRONG! The website said my order would be ready at a 18.50. I got there at 18.45. Although my order had been printed, it wasn't ready. I still had to wait 15 minutes. They didn't start cooking it until I arrived and paid for it because they don't have the option for an online payment. When I got my food home all ok except for my pie which was cold in the middle (not for the first time!)

It says collected on my order but we walked to the shop to get our order and the shop wasn’t even open. Beware because the website is still up and running so you can place your order. Thank god we didn’t pay online because the was no one there when we went to pick up. No lights on,no back door open and the place looked empty. So in summary we did not pick up our order because they were not open for us to do that and with no note on the door we were left without any lunch and had to go elsewhere

Burgers were cooked so well and very fresh, it actually beat me to eat it all, chips were fresh chunky and nice and hot cooked to perfection!

We have never had a bad experience with Abbots Fryer. We don't live in the area, but were recommended them by a family member that live near by. Ever since that first time, in the summer of 2024, we now only use Abbots fryer as our takeaway. It's around a 15 minute drive from our house, and we drive past around 8 other fish & chip shops, but the extra drive is WELL worth it. The quality of the cod is exceptional, the batter is perfectly crisp, and as it's served in box's instead of wrapped in paper, it stays hot, without sweating away the crispness of the batter. Our son loves their chicken kebab, and the chicken strips, and alternates between the two each time. The battered sausages are scrummy, and the chips are perfectly cooked too. We highly recommend Abbots Fryer to anyone and everyone. And have shared our experiences with family and friends. You won't beat the quality and value for money.
